Laurie Gross - Director, Occupational Therapist

Laurie joined the Focus team in July 2005 and assumed the role of Director in April 2006. Laurie is a registered and licensed occupational therapist with experience working in the home, school and clinic environments. She has worked with children ages 1- 12 with varied diagnoses and delays. Laurie earned a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Business degree in Marketing.
She is a Listening Program Provider and has taken continuing education courses covering many topics including: sensory integration and sensory dysfunction treatment, manual handling techniques, auditory processing, handwriting and executive skills dysfunction and treatment.
Laurie feels strongly about the importance of a well coordinated holistic multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment and believes in the importance of a high level of parent training and involvement in their child’s therapy process. She is thrilled to head the highly qualified and enthusiastic staff at The FOCUS center.
