Raquel Reichman- Occupational Therapist

Raquel Reichman is a registered and licensed occupational therapist. Raquel earned a Master of Arts Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University and has been practicing for over thirteen years.

Raquel has worked with children ranging from 6 months to 17 years, in multiple settings including the home, school and clinical setting. Previous work experience includes working in an integrated preschool, at the NYC Board of Education where she created the IEP manual for all therapists and as an early intervention therapist. She is certified in Sensory Integration and is a Listening Program Provider. Raquel has taken various continuing education courses including topics on sensory integration and sensory dysfunction, handwriting, autism, and holistic training.

She firmly believes that parent participation in the therapy process is of primary importance in the successful treatment of children. The increased parents' knowledge and awareness regarding the child's unique needs and how to "bring the therapy home" has attributed to her successful approach. Raquel regularly performs parent in-services and meets with parents on a 1:1 basis to achieve this goal.

Raquel resides in Teaneck with her husband and 3 children where they are active members of the community.
